Wall Street at the close of trading dropped significantly. Shares in the U.S. market plunged amid worries about a deep debt crisis that threatens Europe Italy and Spain, although the leaders of euro zone is fighting to save Greece.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 56.23 points, or 0.45 percent to 12449.53 at close of trade. S & P 500 fell 5.80 points, or 0.44 percent to 1313.69 position. While the Nasdaq composite index fell 20.69 points, or 0.74 percent, to 2781.93.
Semiconductor stocks fell, where Intel fell 1.8 percent after Novellus Systems Inc.. predicted the decline in profit in the third quarter for the stock. Cisco Systems Inc. rose 1.1 percent.
